Growing up, the sisters didn’t always see themselves represented in the books they read. As biracial children with curls, they often felt left out of the stories that shaped their world. That experience sparked a mission: to create books where every child feels seen, celebrated, and confident in who they are.
I Am Me empowers kids to embrace their uniqueness with affirmations and rhythm that read like a self-love anthem.
My Wonderful Curls celebrates curly-haired magic, inspired by their own childhoods and the joy of watching their sons embrace their natural curls.
“Our sibling bond made the process even more meaningful—we bring our shared experiences and love for kids into every story,” they shared.

Confidence begins with self-acceptance, and that’s the heartbeat of their books. Whether it’s a child pointing to a character saying “That looks like me!” or reciting affirmations from I Am Me, these stories plant seeds of pride and self-expression.
One of their most touching experiences? A child hugging them after a reading and sharing their own story. “Those moments remind us why we do this,” they said.
